Assistant Director of Residential Programs
Jake McClure is Assistant Director of Residential Programs for Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute (YLI) with a primary focus on marketing and support for YLI sites across the state. Prior to his current position, he first experienced YLI while in college working as a summer camp counselor at the RM Cooper 4H Leadership Center.
McClure is a graduate of Liberty University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and went on to pursue a wide variety of youth-development positions such as Camp Director for InQuest Ministries, Student Pastor for Sandy Level Baptist Church in Blythewood, SC, and Director of Hospitality and Staff Development for Chik-fil-A in West Palm Beach, FL. In 2014, he returned to YLI as Program Director for the RM Cooper 4H Leadership Center where he oversaw a variety of youth and adult-based programs including the Outdoor Youth Development Program, Teaching KATE, 4H Camp, Camp Wildlife, and a large rental program. McClure is a member of YLI’s Professional Development Training team and is trained to deliver StrengthsFinder.
